Allin Named AJHL Player of the Week

Drumheller Dragons goaltender Daniel Allin was named the AJHL Defensive Player of the Week after his incredible return to the team.

After playing 20 games for the Dragons last season, Allin started the 2019-20 season with the Tri-City Storm of the United States Hockey League (USHL). Drumheller re-acquired the 19-year-old in early January and he has made two starts for the Dragons since.

In fact, he has yet to allow a goal since rejoining the Dragons, after posting back-to-back shutouts in his first two starts. (2-0-0). His first shutout win came against the Canmore Eagles, stopping 33 shots and he picked up his second shutout in an 8-0 defeat of the Calgary Canucks, making 19 saves. He was named the Viterra AJHL Star of the Game in both games.

Allin is committed to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks for 2020-21.
