Boston Bruins Select Quinn Olson, 92nd Overall

Okotoks Oilers forward, Quinn Olson, heard his name called at the 2019 NHL Entry Draft in Vancouver. The Boston Bruins selected the 18-year-old Calgary native with the 92nd overall selection in the third round.

Olson was ranked 105th in North American Skaters by NHL Central Scouting heading into the draft, following an outstanding 2018-19 AJHL season with the Okotoks Oilers. The 18-year-old notched 20 goals, 46 assists, for 66 points in 54 games.

“To wear an original six jersey and be a part of the Bruins organization is a dream come true,” explained Olson. “I know there is more hard work ahead for me to reach that goal of playing in the NHL.” (Full Interview at AJHL.ca)

Olson is committed to play for the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs (NCAA) following his junior career.
