Edwards Commits to Denver (NCAA Div 1)

Brett Edwards is the latest Drumheller Dragon to commit to NCAA hockey following his junior hockey career.

It was announced in late January that Edwards will be joining the University of Denver Pioneers for the 2019-20 season. Edwards is currently in his fourth season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League, his second year as a Drumheller Dragon.

Dragons Head Coach/GM, Kevin Hasselberg commented on the announcement in a team press release and is excited to see Edwards committed to NCAA Div 1 following this season.

“We are thrilled as an organization for the opportunity Edwards has earned with the Pioneers,” explains Hasselberg. “Brett has always put his teammates first and has matured on and off the ice since joining the League as a 17-year-old.” S

Edwards is averaging better than a point-per-game with the Drumheller Dragons in two seasons. He has recorded 60 goals, 56 assists, 116 points in 115 career games.
