Drumheller Dragons forward Brady Risk is now the most prolific goal scorer in franchise history after scoring goal No.69 (and No.70) against the Bonnyville Pontiacs on Saturday night.
Risk (Medicine Hat, Alta.) is playing in his fourth and final season in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), playing all four seasons (222 games) with the Drumheller Dragons. He actually played alongside the player he surpassed for most goals scored, Jordan Taupert, who still holds the record for most points (189) and assists (121) as a Dragon. Risk notched his 69th career goal against the Pontiacs on Saturday night to move him past Taupert in goals scored, with 11 games still remaining in the regular season to increase
Risk has continued to progress as a player both on and off the ice and the accomplishment is well-deserved and certainly earned. The 20-year-old sits second in scoring on the Dragons this season with 27 goals, 24 assists in 46 games.
He is committed to the University of Alaska-Fairbanks (NCAA Div.1) for next season.
