The Drumheller Dragons forward Brady Risk has committed to the University of Alaska Fairbanks Div.1 for the 2020-2021 season.
In his third season (’18-’19) with the Drumheller Dragons (AJHL), Risk finished third overall in team scoring with 25 goals, 29 assists, 54 points in 60 games. In the postseason he added 3 points in 5 games including scoring an epic double-overtime game winner in Game 2 against the Canmore Eagles. His efforts would see him named as the Dragons Top-Playoff Performer.
Drumheller Dragons head coach / GM, Kevin Hasselberg, set an intention (a.k.a Mission 6), to have at least six players committed to NCAA or equivalent postsecondary programs this season. Risk is the eighth Drumheller Dragon from the 2018-19 team to commit to post-secondary programs this year. Hasselberg is pleased to see Risk commit, and his happy Risk should be returning for his final season with the Dragons in 2019-20.
“Brady is a player that values preparation and will spend countless hours perfecting his skills. He draws people to him with his contagious enthusiasm and passion for the game,” Hasselberg explains. “We are very fortunate to have Brady play out his final year of junior eligibility as a Dragon and look forward to even more of his inspirational play next season.” Read Full Dragons Press Release
