Drumheller, AB is more than just a stones-throw from Sherbrooke, QC, where Jeremie Roy calls home.
The 19-year-old defenseman came to Drumheller just recently to begin his tenure with the Drumheller Dragons. Whether it be adjusting to the language (English being his second language) or adjusting to a new place, Roy is relishing his experience so far.
“So far I’m loving it. It’s the first time here in Drum, the first time leaving home for me,” Roy explains. “It’s been an adaptation for me, being away from my family for the first time, but I have a good billet family so it’s been pretty good.”
Roy stressed the importance of his billet family, who have made his transition to Drumheller a more seamless one.
“They are really important for me,” admits Roy. “They’re making me feel at home, so I’m loving it. Every
